AutoPIPE

Pipe Stress Analysis And Design Software

Take the stress now

Ensure high quality, cost-effective piping designs and a smooth workflow.

What is AutoPIPE?

AutoPIPE is an intelligent analysis and design application built to calculate pipe stress, loads, and deflections under various load conditions. It offers various automation features and unmatched interoperability with other software applications.

Model, Analyze, and Visualize Pipe Stress

Improve efficiency with object-oriented point-and-click interactive modeling. Save time and improve consistency due to AutoPIPE’s robust integration with all major intelligent 3D CAD systems. Rapidly set up, analyze, and visualize results for various loading scenarios, including thermal, seismic, wind, and dynamic (response spectra) load cases.

Check Structural Interoperability and Pipe Stress Clashes

Improve model accuracy and better represent real-life plants by including the support structural stiffness in the piping model and transferring the support reaction loads to STAAD.Pro. Analyze any static or dynamic loading condition applied to piping and structures, then determine the pipe stress operational displacements and clash check them against the entire plant model.

Comply with Industry Codes and Standards

Ensure your projects comply with major American (ASME) and European (EN) metallic piping codes. The software includes API, NEMA, ANSI, ASCE, AISC, UBC, ISO, and WRC guidelines and design load limits. AutoPIPE offers easily accessible, built-in ASME B31J flexibility and stress intensification factor calculations with a simple checkbox.

FAQs

AutoPIPE is an analysis and design application used to calculate piping stresses, loads, and deflections under static and dynamic load conditions.

AutoPIPE is a common pipe stress design and analysis software known for its intuitiveness. Not only is it affordable and reliable, but it offers customizable reporting, automated support structure optimization, and makes it easy to import and export various file formats such as CAESAR II files to save time and eliminate errors. AutoPIPE is offered in various versions so you can choose which version is best for you.

Find out which version is right for you.

AutoPIPE offers machine learning support optimization saving hundreds of design hours. It also offers buried pipeline design and analysis capabilities, with 3D hot clash interference detection. Advanced interoperability allows you to import structural models from applications like SACS for offshore projects or structural analysis applications like STAAD so it’s easy to include the structural steel flexibilities in the pipe model. Structural and piping engineers work more efficiently together reducing risks and non-conformances. AutoPIPE includes support for many international design codes including ASME B31 J, as well as ASME III Nuclear codes for class 1, 2, and 3 piping. (Available in AutoPIPE Nuclear sold by Bentley directly.)

AutoPIPE has full interoperability between OpenPlant, STAAD, SACS, or third party products like CAESAR, SmartPlant, PDMS, or PDS. This allows the pipe design to be automatically imported into the pipe stress analysis program through a PXF file, PCF file, or similar. Advanced mapping ensures piping geometry, pipe properties, material, component class, support data and more are imported correctly. This workflow allows the piping to be modeled just once, increasing efficiency and eliminating manual errors.

Over 30 international design codes are supported including multiple years of ASME III, B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, EN13480, CSA-Z662, ISO14692, DNV F101, ASME B31 J. AutoPIPE is one of the few pipestress analysis programs that adheres to the strictest international quality standards, including ISO 9001, NQA-1, 10CFR50 and approved by NIAC, NUPIC since 1986.

The price of AutoPIPE and AutoPIPE Advanced varies per region. While there are various types of licensing available a common choice is the 12-month practitioner license offered through Bentley’s eStore, and it comes in the form of a Virtuoso Subscription which means you get both the software AND training, expert services, and custom mentoring.
