RAM is Bentley’s family of structural analysis and design software for buildings. It covers whole-building analysis (RAM Structural System), structural components (RAM Elements), concrete slabs and foundations (RAM Concept), steel connections (RAM Connection), and steel beams (RAM SBeam), and the products work together. Aufiero Informática distributes Bentley software across Latin America.

RAM Connection
RAM Connection is steel connection design software. It lets engineers analyze, design, and optimize steel connections with code-compliant workflows and 3D integration, whether they need to check one specific connection, design a single connection for multiple joints, or optimize every connection in a structure.
- Shear, moment, combined, gusset, truss, splice, bracket, and base plate connections with anchors
- AISC 360 and AISC 341 seismic provisions, Eurocode EN 1993, GB 50017, IS 800, BS 5950, AS 4100, and NZS 3404
- 3D graphics to verify fit-up and clearances, plus DXF export
- Works standalone or integrated with STAAD.Pro, RAM Elements, and RAM Structural System
System requirements: Windows 10 or 11, 1.3 GHz x64 processor, 675 MB for installation (2 GB for analysis), OpenGL graphics card with 512 MB.
RAM Elements
RAM Elements is structural component design and analysis software. Engineers design trusses, beams, frames, retaining walls, masonry walls, shear walls, and footings in one application, with 3D finite element analysis for steel, concrete, cold-formed steel, timber, and masonry.
- Dynamic analysis (eigenvalue and response spectra), iterative nonlinear P-Delta, and linear buckling
- Hot rolled and cold-formed steel, reinforced concrete (ACI and BS), and reinforced or unreinforced masonry design
- Imports DXF, STAAD.Pro, and RAM Structural System; exports to DXF and RAM SBeam
- General purpose for any structure or component, unlike RAM Structural System, which targets whole buildings
System requirements: Windows 10 or higher, 1.3 GHz x64 processor, 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended), 675 MB for installation (2 GB for analysis), OpenGL graphics card with 512 MB.
RAM Concept
RAM Concept is concrete slab and foundation design software. It designs reinforced and post-tensioned concrete floors and mat foundations with accuracy and speed, automating time-consuming modeling tasks such as tendon design, design spans, and mid/column strips.
- Finite element analysis for any floor or foundation geometry, including openings
- Load history (cracking and long-term effects), punching shear checks, stud rail design, and vibration analysis
- ACI 318, Eurocode 2, AS 3600, BS 8110, CSA A23.3, and PTI recommendations
- Imports geometry and loads from RAM Structural System; exports DXF/DWG; integrates with STAAD.Pro, Revit, and OpenBuildings Designer
System requirements: Windows 10 or 11, 2.0 GHz x64 processor, 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended), 2 GB disk space, OpenGL graphics card with 1 GB.
RAM SBeam
RAM SBeam is steel beam design and optimization software. It optimizes composite, cellular, and castellated steel beams with efficient code-based design and analysis, automatically selecting economical beam sizes and shear studs.
- I-shapes, HSS, channels, and composite or non-composite castellated and cellular beams, with simple spans or cantilevers
- Web openings, cantilevers, and shored or unshored conditions, with pre-composite construction load checks
- AISC LRFD/ASD, CAN/CSA S16, Eurocode EN 1993-1-1 and EN 1994-1-1, IS 800-07, British Standards, and AS 4100-98
- Graphical shear, moment, and deflection diagrams and spreadsheet-exportable reports
System requirements: Windows 8 or later, 1 GB RAM recommended, 100 MB free disk space, 256 MB video card with DirectX 9.
RAM Structural System
RAM Structural System is building structural analysis and design software. Engineers model, analyze, and design complete steel and concrete building structures in one integrated workflow, covering gravity, lateral (wind and seismic), and foundation design.
- Decks, slabs, columns, walls, beams, and foundations, with complex floor plans and slab openings
- Full gravity load takedown, lateral load analysis, and finite element analysis for complex slab and wall behavior
- AISC 360, ACI 318, Eurocode, British Standards, and Canadian, Australian, Chinese, and Indian codes
- Integrates with RAM Connection, RAM Concept, STAAD.Pro, Revit, and OpenBuildings Designer
System requirements: Windows 10 or 11, 1.3 GHz x64 processor, 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended), 2 GB disk space, OpenGL graphics card with 512 MB.
